MarketClair processes only data strictly necessary for the AML service: customer identifiers, transaction data, risk signals, and investigation metadata. No personal data is collected without a legal basis.
Data is processed exclusively for anti-money laundering (AML) purposes, in compliance with AMLD5, AMLD6, and FATF recommendations.
Processing is based on legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR). Financial institutions are legally required to conduct AML checks.
AML decisions and their cryptographic proofs are retained in compliance with applicable regulatory obligations (generally 5 years). Test data is retained for 30 days.
All decisions are cryptographically sealed. Data is hosted on secure European infrastructure (AWS eu-west-3, Paris). Optional AI assistant: an AI assistant can, on request, summarize an already-established investigation. It makes no regulatory decision and creates no evidence.
